Garmin StreetPilot c330 Car GPS Receiver
If you think you get lost too many times, you can get on of these handy gadgets.
TomTom is a European based company where Garmin is US based, so the map installation on Garmin may look you better if you live in Us. With its reliability of maps they can be compared to MapQuest software.
Upside:
* Intuitive- I was able to use it out of the box
* Easy to operate
* Maps- Uses MapSource, a reliable provider of Maps
* Areas of interest- You are able to find restaurants, shops, gas stations, etc. based on name or distance. Great feature!!
* Small- easily transportable from vehicle to vehicle
* Map Views- You can select from 3 different views- I prefer the 3D view
* Battery Power as well as Car charger
* Clear Directions
Downside:
* Unit doesn’t take Traffic into consideration- This unit does NOT have the option to add XM NavTraffic
* Choses sometimes secondary roads instead of main road
* Quickest route does not take into account traffic lights
* Need to specify the address in detail, not only town’s name
* One voice to choose from
Garmin 330 series are the simplest GPS devices you probably can find. They may not be as fun as operating TomTom series yet probably you’ll get your destination easily.
